Thanks for any feedback! Interesting hacks. I guess my first feedback is your RSS link doesn't work. At least not the way it should. I have a website, http://www.ccfilms.com We used to call our group Crazzzzy Christian Films, however, we have recently renamed ourselves to Catoptric Christian Films (don't fear, there's no religious films or anything on there...we're just a group of Christian guys who love making films). --------------- Anyways, the site currently says Crazzzzy Christian Films at the bottom of all the pages. Is there a program (I used to use HoT MetaL Pro 4.0, but i lost my disc) that can take ALL of my html files, ... 5978 bytes I had posted a thread about some of my pages being in the supplemental pages of Google, and thanks to the help of people here, think I understand why my individual items pages (from my e-commerce Christian art website) are in the supplemental result pages. Although I had added keywords and meta tags to my category pages, I did not do this for my individual items. Some of these pages have very little content, with only a short description, price and add to cart information. I feel comfortable enough here to ... 11866 bytes If you have anchor text in your signature in a forum, and it doesn't mention your website url specifically, for example, if I have "Christian art for sale" as my signature, will this not show up in a Google search under my website name? I would like my posts on forums to not be visible by anyone who chooses to Google my website. Thanks so much for any help! I'm just starting to leatrn xml. I created an xml page and a css for it. If I open the xml it is formatted by the css. When I put it in a webpage, it isn't. Nothing has been moved, all docs are in one folder. Can anyone tell me why? The stylesheet also has some classes to fomat text on the webpage and when I use the xml and the css in a page with other text on it, the css formats the page text but not the xml data on the page, even though it does when the xml is opened on its own. I stripped the page ... 3962 bytes I've done maybe 15 other site designs and currently run about 5 different sites, but this is my first design to completely rid HTML tables, and go fully CSS/DIV (of which I've used CSS in almost all my designs, but it was only assigning properties to full tags like <a>, <td>, and <body>. I've never used DIV tags before this). My skills are better homed at backend PHP/SQL script programming (such as the new project started on this site yesterday). This is my personal website... my own little home =). ... 9036 bytes I've had an interesting idea (as you've no doubt gathered). I think it would be nice to have a website, basically a cross between Spoono and Christianity. A place where Christian (but not limited to Christians, of course) web designers could come together and have a site they could communicate with. It would be similar to Spoono , containing Photoshop help, web design tutorials, etc. It would be a great resource, I think. I came up with the name Garland of Grace, from Proverbs 4 (NIV), which I think might ... 12771 bytes I am getting ready to add a "Sports Art" section to my Christian art website, (my husband's idea...) and since it is unrelated to Christian art, am wondering if this can in any way harm my SERPs in Google. My site is number 1 on Google now for the keywords Christian art, and although I do plan on writing something to try to "tie together" the Christian element with Sports, I don't know if any content that might seem unrelated to my main content and theme can harm my SERPs. I hope not, but want to check ... 5868 bytes I started a new sports art website, which I'm glad to say was as a result of the encouragement here on this forum, and want to thank those who encouraged me. While the site has only been online for a little over two weeks now, and doesn't have many products, I am trying to do everything right from the very beginning. I have already started submitting the site to directories, and have a few backlinks already, and of course, will continue to add products, work on backlinks, etc...(between my Christian art ... 3459 bytes I have a Christian art website, which will be online for 6 months later on this month. While I am supposedly not in the sandbox, I am not being indexed for my main keywords "Christian art" yet. I realize this is an extremely competitive keyword, with more than 98 million search results in Google. I am (as of today) #7 in Google for the keywords "framed Christian art" (with only 1,510,000 search results) and #17 for "Christian framed art" (with 1,660,000 search results). So, obviously I'm happy that I am ... 4223 bytes When I googled the keywords "Christian art", which my website is ranked number one for on Google, and click on the cache link, this is what I see: Your search - cache:7O6IN8lTMywJ:www.lordsart.com/ christian art - did not match any documents. I have never seen this before, is there a problem? What does this mean, and is there anything I can do? Thanks so much for any help, it is greatly appreciated. Thanks. Please read the rules. Absolutely NO advertising is allowed. Apologies... didn't even realize I was advertising. You can close the thread! Just to clarify: I believe it was looked upon as advertising because you mentioned twice about wanting the site to get bigger, yet nothing about wanting a critique of the site. Please feel free to re-post a request for a critique ... 8600 bytes I hope to some day be a web designer. The problem is, I have no idea what university to go to. The adviser at my college was no help. She literally printed out a page of diploma mills and handed to me. So I have been trying to do my own research. I have a problem, I go to a christian college which wont be named but my problem is unique,my school has a filtering system named Filtercube from the company S4F, Since this is a private christian university they reserve the right to limit our web experience to the extent of what they seem appropriate, which also include some custom programs people in the IT department at this university have written to block use of Kazaa and AIM, Last semester I used a program called httptunnel ... 11459 bytes Oh my gosh, I just found my site in Google, for my main keywords, "Christian art", on page 29 Since I discovered this yesterday, it has even gone down several positions! It will be 6 months tomorrow that I have this site live, and I believe it was indexed by the SEs in the beginning of October. I have actually checked ALL of Google's Christian Art search results, twice, and cannot find my site. Has it disappeard from Google's search? I designed this site by winging it but this seems to be the only major issue. Certain users using IE expirience some images stretching, usually vertically. The pages load fine in Firefox, but 50% of Ie users get this weird stretching problem and I don't know what to do. It's weird because usually if you navigate to another page and come back the images load perfectly fine. Any help is greatly appreciated. My site is www.reserveaspotinheaven.com (only ... |
